I develop games and I write. I have a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing and journalism. I like writing speculative fiction, horror and literary fiction, sometimes all blended together. You can find elements of my writing in my games, because I consider my games to be stories just that happen to have gameplay.

Legionwood: Tale Of The Two Swords
Hmm, that is a shame. I'm not sure what will fix it, but would you mind sending your save file to me at dark_gaia@live.com.au, and I'll see if I can rectify it somehow. Glad you enjoyed the game so far, though :)
Legionwood: Tale Of The Two Swords
author=horror
I've gotten to the desert town of Hawkshire. I can access the bottom part of the town just fine, but when I go to the northern part with the castle and the Blue Sapphire in the dragon statue I keep getting an error: Legionwood Launcher has encountered a problem and must shut down. I've troubleshot the problem on a couple of online forums - tried the recommended fixes to no avail, and have even shut off my anti-virus - nothing works. Frustrated, as I'm about 12 hours into this game and would really love to finish it. Help.
To be honest, I have no idea whatsoever about what could be causing this. Seems like some kind of system incompatibility, rather than a problem with scripts or something (or you'd get a standard RPG Maker error), plus plenty of others have advanced beyond this point just fine.
I'll look around and see what I can do. Fortunately, that quest is only a side-quest; you should still be able to finish the main storyline at least, so you won't miss out on the ending.
@Corfaisus: Thanks! It's a complete surprise to me, but a pretty cool one! Thanks for your support.
Legionwood: Tale Of The Two Swords Review
Well, using sparkles and stuff to signpost interactive items is still in the game. That was originally a concession to account for the lag that was happening when each and every item was interactive and had a description that popped up if you checked it. I deleted the items that had worthless descriptions and tagged the ones that did have anything useful with signposting.

Yes, when you're finding it hard in Legionwood, I've found that more often than not, it's something to do with how AP has been distributed. Level really doesn't mean all that much in this game. I've seen people complete it at Level 60 and I've also seen people complete it at Level 30. A good AP build trumps all.
Legionwood 2: Rise of the Eternal's Realm
Yes, it has inspired me quite a bit. The next Beta will probably be out within the next month, and then there's only Act III left to do and the game's done! I'm plugging away.
The Featured Game Thread
Just popping in to say thanks for the feature, everyone. I wasn't expecting it to be honest, but it was a pleasant surprise! You've inspired me to work on the sequel some more.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's also supposed to be a road that isn't traveled very often, so I could probably do with plopping some more overgrowth on top of it.

Yep, this is based on one of the Sample Maps. I've used three in Legionwood 2, but I generally edit them so that they look and feel different.
